My Story

I’ve always been inspired by real-life stories of grit and resilience.

In my 30 year career, I shaped content for major media companies like National Geographic, Discovery and Al Jazeera America. As an executive overseeing production, my most rewarding role was empowering people to reach their creative best.

Of course, there were times when things didn’t go as planned. I saw those moments as opportunities to shift gears and make unexpected turns part of the story.

Sometimes vulnerable, messy moments are the most compelling or, with a shift in perspective, provide a bridge to what’s next.

I know this because several years ago, stress from my corporate job took a toll on me physically and mentally. I was managing an auto-immune disease, solely through medication and found myself constantly on edge, reacting to situations, while past mistakes played on a loop in my brain. I vividly remember reading Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now and finding the concept of presence foreign. That marked the beginning of my journey to heal, overcome anxiety and find a better way of living.

So, I did what I love most —delved into research and stories of personal transformation. I learned methodologies for healing —Eastern, Western, and everything in between. I studied the mind-body connection and our brain’s remarkable ability to rewire itself. Along the way, I began to understand that I am much more than my job, and I’m constantly evolving. I found calm, presence and a new calling: Coaching.
